Happy unofficial start to summer! We’ve finally been getting some sunshine here in YYC, and I’m loving it.
A few reminders as you start prepping for our very very short summer:
Deadlines slow down (thank goodness). This also makes it the perfect time to get super clear on your needs for the fall grant cycle, and what you want to achieve in 2027 (Need help with this, reach out).
Summer deadlines (and fall deadlines) sneak up fast because people are enjoying patio season or taking a well-deserved vacation. Plan ahead.
The organizations that stay on top of things now build momentum for the remainder of the year and are much less stressed come September.

Many applications won’t hit the mark with the new CIP grant…
The GoA dropped the new CIP-ODC grant with a very short turnaround time, which means many organizations are scrambling to pull together an application before the June 15 deadline.
The reality? A lot of applications won’t hit the mark…
That also means organizations that are strategic, prepared, and well-positioned have a stronger chance of success.
